Yep, I ride as far away from the crowds as I can. An open road and the scooter, that's all I need.

Millennial here at the ripe age of 31. I mostly ride with my brother (32), best friend (31), neighbors (33 and 29) and good friend (26). We are out there. I expect sales will increase as more millenialls can afford them. As I’ve said on another similar thread, priorities are different these days. Most of my non- riding friends own houses and enjoy traveling. Different strokes for different folks.

My son is a millennial and we have discussed, on numerous occasions, why he has less than no interest in H-D's. Like his pop, he's an electrical engineer and with that he makes good money. He can buy any H-D he wants, with cash, no problem. But he won't. Instead, he truly loathes them. To him, they are a cruel joke of a machine that has been foisted on a technologically ignorant population. No performance, poor reliability and then throw in the stereotypical "Lifestyle" rider he just finds them laughable. Rolling pylons is what he calls 'em.

Now, having said that, maybe in twenty years his opinion will change. But, I gotta tell ya, I seriously doubt it. I think what I am gonna do is when my riding days are over is give my Dyna to him. In a way, that would be just dessert as that is how I got the Dyna in the first place - as a gift from an older cousin. We'll just keep it in the family. :-)

This problem is easy to solve. Make another Easy rider movie and you will have a another generation hooked.

I know it is not good for your business but I much preferred it back when there were not so many "hooked". Loved riding all day without seeing another bike.

There wasn't 2 hours worth of computer generated explosions and effects. I doubt a kid could make it through 10 min of easy rider without checking their phone. They did have the Harley street in the avengers movie I think though. At least there was in the previews.

when i was 16 and able to drive the first thing i did was run out and get a motorcycle. Back in 1984, every kid either had one or was dying to have one. A harley? i would have loved to have one more than anything else...unfortunately all i could afford was a 1980 honda twinstar 250. I rode the crap out of that bike, through every season no matter what thats all i rode. It is wierd how things change, i wonder what the difference is...i have a 17 year old kid and like i said he has 0 interest in bikes...neither does any of his friends...i know ive carted them around and asked the group if they like motorcycles. Not one of them says yes. Im seriously perplexed why that is, since all my friends and me just loved motorcycles when we were that age? By the way, at 17 he is not a mellinial, he is generation Z whatever that is.
