My friend is about to take his final ride

I wish your friend a gentle, peaceful passing.
Sometimes the pain is taken away from the body and other times the body is taken away from the pain.
I went to see a friend just after New Years and it was obvious that he was not doing well with his progressive disease.
His wife called me several days later letting me know that they would have hospice management tin their home and I've not heard from her since.
I just can't get myself to call and if she wanted me to know anything else I felt that she would have contacted me.
I have our riding and target shooting memories and that's how I choose to remember him.
My condolences to all.

He hung around a lot longer than expected but early today he got on the Hog in Heaven. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. This one hurts.
He is going to be cremated, I’m going to put some ashes in a bell and keep them in the wind with me. Next year I’m gonna find a way to get to the black hills and spread his ashes. Here he is with his bride in 1997 on a highway in Wyoming.
Art and I always planned to go to sturgis each year but neither of our finances ever allowed for it. I don’t know that mine will still but I’ll find a way to make it happen for him
