HD is recalling around 250,000 motorcycles in an effort to remedy an issue with the brakes that can cause them to fail without any warning. Check out what the brand is doing to keep its riders safe from a potentially fatal accident.
OP - QQ for you.. The statement of the damage is primarily to White Men btw 30 and 50, any idea where the stat came from.. Not a loaded question, just curious..

Just an editor chiming in but the first part of the remark comes from a quote from Matthew S. Levatich "We are trying to erase the perception that Harley is just for old white guys." The stat that was used comes from a study that found the average Harley rider was born in 1965 at earliest. Here is the Reuters article for the curious. Although older, here is another one about the broad sweeping picture of what an average Harley owner is.
So this is a new recall "2018"? Any new information? I gather it only covers thru 2011 because of change in abs supplier? The other recall was thru 2012.

The recall was issued earlier this year and covers all anti-lock brake equipped Touring, CVO Touring and VSRC motorcycles made during the 2008 through 2011 model years. Over 30 different models with ABS are affected, include the Road King, Road Glide, Electra Glide and Street Glide. Here is the link to the NHTSA to see if your bike is affected. The brake issue has been investigated by the powers that be at the Highway Traffic Safety folks since July of 2016 after 43 people complained that included 3 separate crashes and a pair of needless injuries. HD wanted to conduct a field service campaign but NHTSA pushed them for a national recall instead.
