With 4 valves per cylinder i would expect a powerband simular to a street or scout but they will hopefully cam it to have that sweet midrange. And those 1150 gs's are 20 year old bikes, now most 1200 adventure bikes are pushing 120hp. If harley can only get 100hp its going to compete more with the 800-900cc class.

i am sure they will be 120 HP bike. Simply because that is the market they will chase ..... My point is that with a well balanced & Tractable powerband 90 & 70 works well. I don’t know anyone who regularly uses, and most never get close, to maximum HP in the dirt on a large ADV, but everyone uses maximum tourque.
And every one needs to remember MOST large ADV riders don’t see dirt. They think a back alley is an adventure.
Lol a back alley... i remember going with someone on a dualsport ride, all gravel. Couldve used the dyna. When you get one be sure to make a post about how you like it. I think its going to bring riders into that segment of riding who never would have before and thats always a good thing.

Thats what I think also. If I get it next fall in time I would do the break in miles and service ASAP and then, if it’s not too late in the season do a 1 or 2 week run. 93 & 95 merge a few miles from here, and I have always wanted to do them as a rounder which puts me at the Mexican border. There are a few 6,000 ft passes that can get sketchy late October though. But I kept my Klim/Sidi/Shoei ADV gear...... it’s the early season black Ice that gets my attention.
Lots of speculation here on the new Harley's. Maybe we need to wait until they are out there and then we can render a valid verdict.
Give them a chance.
i find it ironic Harley is now trying to come out with something different a few years after they got rid of Buell. My advice it to refund Buell and let him do the new stuff. Harley should stick to what they know. Let Buell stick to what he knows.

These are nothing like Buells. I had several of them. Never quite up to the fit and finish of HD's. We saw Eric's adventure bike. It was just another Buell with different plastics. The new HD adventure bike looks way better in every way. Kudos to HD for the new ones.
This world would be a better place if everyone, just like dicky, said what they actually felt instead of saying what they knew people wanted to her.
.......... i love my Road Glide.
....... but i wouldn't think of trying to take it on the Alpine Loop outta Lake City.
..... this new one, i just might
............. man, i'm gonna need a bigger garage

When looking at the Harleys history, this is not their first attempt at a street/dirt bike. They have done several over the years.
