If a grown man wants to dress up like Captain Sparrow that’s his business. I just want to ride my bikes. I am a DI, I guess.

I am very happy with it. Advertising or no advertising, it's what I bought.

I don't know why some of you are so ashamed of wearing Harley garb. I mean, everyone here presumably rides one, so what's the big deal?

I get the distinct impression from some of you it's almost taboo to wear a Harley t-shirt or jacket in case someone you knew actually saw you in it.

Oh, the shame of it all.........Weird.
Let pose a question to you in all seriousness, you like that heavy leather jacket and you paid well for it regardless of the "deal". What if I told you I found a plain textile jacket a few decades ago that has kept me warmer than any leather has down below freezing, is lightweight, weather and windproof and has proven as durable as any leather in a slide situation that only costs $40 shipped to my door ? Biggest benefit has been you can leave it hanging off the sissy bar all day long in a crowd and nobody touches it, combined with the fact it can roll into a bundle not much bigger than a football and soaking wet ( outside while the liner stays dry ) it'll dry on the back of a chair within a few hours why on earth would I want to wear harley garb or spend anywhere near what they want for it?

Nice to go somewhere and not look like the rest of the herd animals.I know what I've been riding the last 40 odd years, I don't need to remind myself by wearing brutally overpriced billboards proclaiming it to the world.

Biggest pile of bull$hit I've read lately.

What you think a biker is, and what I KNOW a biker is is 2 obviously different things, but it's cool, you can bet yer *** I won't be losing sleep over the opinion...

Ok here's another example of a movie with criminal bikers but not a single one is riding a harley. 1979's Mad Max. Oh those evil Kawasaki riders, they're even wearing helmets! Interesting note: the leader of the bike gang in 1979 is the same actor who played the evil leader, Immortan Joe in Mad Max Fury Road in 2015.

Jack I gave up on trying to explain that one a while ago, hence my apathy towards things as they are today. I know good scooter people are still out there but we are getting rarer. Todays breed honestly believe ownership = biker.

For guys who drive in cold weather and don't wear chaps, what do you use to protect your legs? Even in 40s thick jeans do not cut it, do you use snow pants?

I prefer to be identified as a Motorbike Aficionado.
