Had a young one pop out on me in the early evening (Still light out.) last night.
Get's your adrenalin pumping, especially with an inattentive car driver behind you.

It's always "deer season" in Michigan!!! But you are right....deer are moving more these days than normal. Keep your eyes on the move. And don't get comfy ins the city, or outskirts....deer often frequent wooded areas and parks around the city....

Where I live, the sub division is full of them...everyone seems to feed them, even my wife....I have a 9 point buck and 11 point buck roaming my property. Unfortunately no hunting allowed here, soooo we enjoy the photo ops!

It's no exaggeration whatsoever that it's a rare day when we DON'T see deer in our yard from about April through December. They are so used to us, we can usually get to within 15' of them , even in the car or on the lawn tractor or even the Harley. We call them lawn ornaments these days.

People sometimes think it's only dawn or dusk you see deer, but I've seen them sitting on the front lawn at noon chewing their cud without so much as a care in the world.

I live in rural NB though, so there is that../....

Here in west by god you got to look for them year round. No matter how many we hunt and kill it don't lower their numbers. And yes city or country the risk is the same. I limit my night riding and slow down where there is trees and crop fields. And don't think after avoiding them for years you think you can avoid them, because the one that gets you will come out of the blue.

I live in a city of approx. 100K. You see them on the interstate that bisects it. Right in the neighborhoods! As someone else said, they are nothing but furry IED's waiting to take us out. I'm not interested in earning another Broken Wings patch.

Where I live it’s ALWAYS “deer season.” You’re likely to see the antler rats anywhere anytime. I’ve had far more close calls with deer than I have with cages over the years I’ve been riding.
