Anytime a motor vehicle violation occurs the cop can pull you over and ask for your papers.

Perfectly legal.
There are no crooked cops in this world.

A friend of mine told me about the TX sticker when I decided to get back on bikes a few years ago. He had one and told me how to get it. Being the lazy and very busy person that I am, I've never gotten one and never been pulled over for it either. However, theres is a biker cop in town that loves to pull bikers over when they don't have the sticker and aren't wearing a helmet. A co-worker and I went out for lunch on our bikes a couple years ago. This idiot actually asked to see our endorsment while we were standing in line at the Tac Bell. I didn't even pull out my wallet. Later, when we got back to the school we teach at, I asked our school cop about him. Let's just say this cop isn't liked very much by his own kind. He causes a lot of trouble with bikers, pulling over 50 or more a day by his count. Luckily he made the mistake of pulling over several bikers at one time, one being a friend of mine. They all refused to show him anything and one called the supervisor at the station. We happened to be having a bike and car show in town that day so the supervisor came by and chewed out this cop in front of the group. Told him the town made a lot of money on bikers and he needed to stop harrasssing them. He doesn't bother bikes anymore.

You see, you owe that officer a big thanks. If he wouldn't have stopped you for the proof of insureance, helmet issue you would have missed the naked chicks.
See, Terry sees the glass as half full.... not half empty.

With the exception of this time, I usually always carry a digital camera in my windshield bag. Let's just say that I've since learned my lesson.
