Default Storing a table lift

I've had a Weaver TX-1000 lift for several years now and it's always had a bike on it. When I had two bikes one would get parked on the garage floor and one would get rolled up on the lift so I could fit both bikes in the garage side-by-side. I have downsized to one bike and only expect to use the lift 1-2 times a year for regular maintenance. That being said I'd like to be able to get it out of the way when I am not using it. I thought I had read of a few forum members actually "storing" their tables away when not in use. I recall reading this when I was shopping for a lift about 5 years ago, maybe longer but can no longer find the thread.

So the question is, does anyone move or store their table lift out of the way when not in use? Maybe lean it up against a wall and lock it in or something like that. Here's the lift I have along with a pic of how I used to keep the bikes.

when I am not using mine for the bikes place it off to the side against the wall and I leave it in the upright position and use it for more tool bench space

This is one of the reasons i just sold mine for a loss had two bikes got rid of one and moved up the road one hour didnt want to take it with me. There very buckey and not use much i had a Harbor’s Freight’ on with a boat load of extras on it dont miss it and use a nice lift i had proir works well. Maybe you can stand it along one of your walls and tie it off until you need it again thats beautiful lift I wouldn’t want sell it.

Mine gets all kinds of stuff stored on it. Just push it up to the wall and pile on, car tires, bbq, smoker, lawn mower. Maybe sell it one day but its way too useful when wrenching on the bike.

Mine sits in front of my tool box. It's out of the way from the main part of the shop and easy enough to stand on to get to the tool box.

As others said, mine is a magnet for whatever I'm looking for a place to put. Push it over against a wall and jack it up to about waist height.

this is kind of overkill but effective. Probably a simple pulley mounted overhead would get the same thing done

Could you leave it flat and drive your car over it so it's centered between the tires? Maybe unbolt the tire holder.

That's the real deal right there. I was thinking about something similar without the winch, just lifting up against the wall but now a hand pully may be just the thing. Unfortunately, he said seeing the detail of the base plate was not important but it actually was the most important piece.

I'd have to check, my car looks too low but I never actually measured it.
