I was at my local dealer today and they had 2 bikes that had tags hanging on then that said demo out front. That was new for them. Usually they tell you that you can demo whatever you want. It was a 19 SGS and 19 RGS. The demo truck was here at the bike week last Spring I believe. Guess we will find out if it shows up for the Spring rally this year.

Same here, and one dealer told me it costs $20,000 to get the demo truck to show up for a weekend. They don't think it's worth it so they do an occasional dealer demo day with half a dozen bikes out for you to ride usually a sportster or two, a fat boy or heritage, a street glide and a Ultra, if you are seriously looking at something they will pull it off the floor.

Same with me on test rides in the area. And those demo rides suck anyway. Follow the leader in a maybe 10-15 mile ride in a group is no way to check out a potential purchase.

The one I took, they let us take them out on our own. It was at The Lone Star Rally in Galveston. I've never been to one at the dealer. If that's the case, I don't think I want ride in a group through the streets and freeways of Houston.
