Default What’s your gas mileage?

Yesterday I went on a little road trip mostly highway riding. I recently had my bike tuned and squeezed out a little more power and torque. I thought I was burning through fuel like crazy until my road trip. I am curious to know what the average MPG is of other bikes similar to mine. I also recently changed out my plugs and plug wires. I’m using NKG plugs and Russel 10mm plug wires. I use Shell 93 octane fuel. I guesstimate I am averaging around 50.7 MPG. Below is my configuration.

2016 FLHT
V&H Power Duals
V&H Rogue AC
V&H 450 Slip ons

I don't know, I set my trip meter and fill up every 175 miles. Reset, repeat. Never cared to know.

Is it better to run non-ethanol fuel or is that just a preference?

That's what I get from my 5 gallon 103 normal riding, 220 miles on long freeway runs.

A little more power (probably not noticeable to most) and a little better mileage. With a 10% ethanol blend figure on losing about 4% or so on mileage, maybe a little less on power.

On the '09 FXD that I had and now on the '98 FXD carb'd bike I have, both *consistently* got/get 4 mpg *LESS* when I used/use corn gas. The '72 sporty I had back in the early 80's I have no clue as back then I didn't care, heh. Presently I get 45 mpg.
