Default Best fuel

Pure Gas, no ethanol. Cumberland farms in upstate NY offers 91 octane non ethanol gas.

if you know where to look you can get 103 or even 108 pump gas ( fuel outlets, not at airports) here in Bama......i'm 15 miles from one of those

most non E gas in my area is only 87 octane.......so I just use 93 E-10

I use 93 in all my bikes, and Recreational 90 (Rec90) ethanol-free in the boat. The F-150, generator, other "small engines" and emergency stored fuel all get 87 E10), with Sta-Bil added if it's going to sit any length of time. I did put 87 E15 in the F-150 (Flex Fuel approved!) once when I was traveling, without any issues, but I wouldn't feed it a steady diet.

So you know of a reliable web site that shows non ethanol gas being sold at stations and their location.

Im just looking at somewhere to buy ethanol free fuel for winter storage.

Any of you gas experts have any opinions/comments regarding "Tier 1" gasolines? According to some, some of the gas makers subscribe to "Tier 1" protocol and put certain additives in their gasoline formulas--additives for the valves, etc. I usually buy Shell gas and they are a Tier 1 gas producer. It is my understanding the big gas discounters do not subscribe to Tier 1 protocol and they are able to sell gas a wee bit cheaper. Two big discount gas operations in my area are Thorntons and Speedway. I previously emailed both of them and asked if their gas was Tier 1. I got a reply from Speedway saying their gas contained everything necessary and they did not intend to meet Tier 1 criteria. Never got a reply from Thorntons.

You can google Tier 1 for info and also find out which oil companies subscribe to Tier 1 standards and which ones don't.

I just use 87 octane but I pour about a half bottle of Old Spice cologne in every tank full. I don't know if it helps the octane but the old blue hair ladies sure do follow me around now.
