Default GAS TANK SWAP

Since the new 08 Roadkings have switched the tank capacity to 6 gals, would you think that you could swap the old 5 gal tank out without any issues? the extra milage capability is what I'm after.

The '08 specs indicate that the tank can't be retrofitted to older bikes, but who knows what ingenuity might come up with.

There were a coupleplaces where the frames were changed on the new Touring bikes which may havesomethingto do with the 6 gal tank. You may be able to buy a Fat Bob tank which is a high capacity tank. By Fat Bob, I am not referring to the new bike HD is rolling out in '08. There's a tank called Fat Bob. A buddy of mine had one on his bike, 1994 Heritage Softail.
