HOG New ride 65 program

HOG New ride 65 program
I've been riding motorcycles since 1965. I've been a faithful Harley owner and HOG member since the purchase of my new Electraglide Standard in 1990. Having amassed a staggering amount of ridden miles with only 4, less than life threatening crashes, I must bow down to the HOG powers that be who seem to possess much more experience and have thus determined that they are in charge and will dictate where I should ride "365" for the remainder of my two wheeled existence. So I am supposed to devote 8,501 miles round trip this year from Daytona Beach FL to all the ride "365" destinations and back home. Sounds like a cheap tactic to get the dealerships more exorbitant fees for their 5k services. I have steadily witnessed the decline in quality of the HOG membership in general. The useless HOG magazine not withstanding, the organization has morphed into a rich man's game with their fly and ride program which promotes riding a dealership's bike and not having the nuts to "ride" to your destination and experience the myriad of wonders along the way. I won't go into all the other short comings of the club and won't even gripe about the $45 map I've been paying for these past 30 years. In actuality, the map was the only decent thing that the organization offered, and has now gone by the wayside. Who cares about a free pass to the Harley museum all year long. Go in once and you've seen it. A trip to "Wheels Through Time" in Maggie Valley puts that Harley museum to shame. I've got a tow package on my auto insurance so I don't need the HOG one. I'm afraid, folks, that they have gotten my last membership renewal. I can better put that $45 to use...say, at least 36 White Castle sliders for instance!

Some like it and some don’t. It you don’t get any valve from it then move on. For me and my wife we really like the pin and patch and we usually get to two or three events a year where we also pick up another HOG pin. Works for me. She puts all our pins and patches for the year in a shadow box. They look great in the man cave and bring good memories.

I became a HOG member in 84 when I bought my FXRT and let it expire after a year. Bought a new 03 FXTR and again the HOG deal expire after one year. Bought a new limited and I got a 1000 mile pin lol. Got well over 100,000 miles on H-D. Can’t get credit even though the dealer has records. But I know and that’s good enough
