The restructuring of Harley...

H-D need a CVO that does not place the investors and their interests over the people by the bikes like the last two CEO's did. Right now its all about making investors happy at the cost of the loyal customer. For us price is going up, quality down and they are removing stuff from the bike and using cheeper parts.

CEO. Jochen Zeitz http://www.zeitzfoundation.org/About-Us/Jochen-Zeitz
TROY ALSTEAD CEO of Oceans5. Former CEO Starbucks.
https://www.oceans5.org/
R. John Anderson, former CEO of Levi Strauss
Alan Golston, Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.
Sara Levinson MTV
Brian Nichol Chipotle Mexican restaurants.
I’m not saying these are bad people, but I don’t think they have much in common with your average Harley owner. Two of the board members come from an industrial background, Cummins and Boeing.
So it seems like most of the board is more concerned with saving the world than saving the American V twin. Which explains flops like the LiveWire.

Its truly sad, to see a former great company be decimated by people who ultimately dont care about it, they are just looking for another line item in the resume.

I don't get why you care what industry they come from. We all ride Harleys, and think we know how to to fix the company, but not to much of us have any motorcycle business experience. No interest in having sales manager from local dealer become one.
If they came from Honda or Kawaski I think people would scream about that too. Everybody just assumed the soup guy didn't ride, because he didn't work for a motorcyle company before coming to Harley. Not like there is that many to come from. Not like a utility, which are located all over. A foundry which there many of, ect. Pretty much only related field would be a metric company. Not that I am really against that. But I don't see any less whining.
As far as boards go I wonder what actual interaction they really have with the product. Tons of people on them, and same person will be on multiple boards. I suspect it is more money, invsestors and stock discussions, than what chrome nut to add.
