Things I value the MOCO doesn't do anymore.
I bought my first new harley in 2012. It came with a year subscription to H.O.G., a cool little tool kit and a nice framed certificate or origin.
I bought a new bike last year and apparently they no longer do the tool kit or the certificate of origin deal. I did get get a year of H.O.G. though. Was it a dealer thing? The dealership where I live has changed ownership since my purchase. |
No tool kit and certificate when I bought my bike in 2018, Don't even know new bike came with those before.
|
Heck, most of the dealers won't even throw in a tee shirt with the purchase these days...
|
Last bike I bought was from a guy who turned out to be really cool. No tool kit or framed certificate, but after the deal was done and the bike was loaded up, he brought out a couple of beers.

Some of the touring models and trikes came with a toolkit. Around 2010, they stopped providing a toolkit and gave you a multi-tool. I believe after the 2016 model year, they stopped offering the multi-tool. |
Chances are, you can't work on any of that integrated stuff anyway.
Tool kit is your cell phone and credit card. No, they don't give you those either. |
The multi tool being supplied was MOCO supplied. The Certificate of Origin being framed was a/your dealer thing.

Honesty and a simple handshake when the deal is made.
rk classic. |
When I bought my 18' FLRT it didnt come with the multi tool like previous years. I had to queer them into giving me one. A big mouth sometimes helps in this regard.

Things I miss is when Harley Davidson dealership showrooms had the odor of gas, oil and exhaust.
