So you start off with Harley talk, then post statistics for ALL motorcycles in USA, SMFH!

So what are the Harley demographics?

Yep.. I've said this in so many posts. Why would I upgrade my '09 to a new bike? I might get what $6-7K trade. Have to pay $30k + for a Vivid Black TTL + Fees. What makes a new bike worth $23k more then what I already have. (Aside from the mods on mine). The water cooled heads are not a big deal. I've heard from many that M8's actually run hotter. So that leaves M8, Suspension, Radio? You know what kind of suspension, motor, audio I could put in my bike for $23k....

I’m 47 and have ridden motorcycles since I was 16...I’ve had two Harley’s in my life, plenty of other makes, and bought my 2019 Iron 1200 a year ago. I’m very happy with it and no desire to buy a bigger H-D.
... Bingo...! Why would the MoCo want anyone to know that the overage age of the people who ride their bike is pushing over 50. I'm in that group

Just kidding.
The guy that murdered a Harley rider recently wasn't kidding about it though. He specifically mentioned that as part of his confession.

I'm even older and also ride a Sportster, although I also own an Ultra Classic. The FLH is an up north mc, and the Sportster is a down south Appalachian motorcycle. Although I've done LD rides on my Sportster, the UC is better suited for that purpose. Unfortunately my days of doing any more LD riding are decreasing, and I don't really utilize all the benefits of having an UC. If I ever get rid of the UC it will be for either another Sportster or a Softail.
