Want Stage 1 but worried about warranty
2019 SGS. I have Rinehart slip-ons that were installed by the previous owner at the dealer. I would like to add SE heavy breather. I know I will need a new map, and I would really like to go with V&H. The problem is, that my bike is still under warranty and I rather do this myself than pay the dealer **** ton of money to install it, not to mention force me to use SE map.
What do you guys think? Should I just let it rip and hope nothing goes bad with my bike for a year or should I just wait until it runs out?
This is my first HD and I just learned about the whole warranty rules that they have.

Answer: Some dealers will still honor the factory warranty after a Fuelpak installation, but some will not. It is up to your dealer. Often the dealer will honor the warranty if you pay them to do the Fuelpak installation.

My $0.02 is that as long as you've had the bike long enough to be confident that there aren't any obvious factory defects, then to hell with the warranty. I wouldn't deny myself the modifications I wanted based on a theoretical possibility of voided warranty coverage on problems that haven't even happened, particularly since you're about out of the warranty period anyway.
That said, if you have any minor issues that you've been putting off, I'd get them dealt with first, under warranty, before moving forward.
