Tires ?
#11
I always ran Goodyears on the back and Avons on the front on my pan and shovelheads. This was on ridge framed bikes. You would think you would feel anything funny going on when riding a ridge. I know people who have had problems with the Metzelers and Michelins. I run nothing but Dunlops now days because i seem to get alot of mileage out of them. Just my 2 cents.

well you or most riders will go through 2 to 3 sets of rears before you need a new front. so its always good to try new tires or maybe a tire thats on sell. sometimes they are out of what you are looking for, but you have to have a tire to continue the trip. any numbers of reasons at the time.
