how much longer till I start laying my apes back?
So I've noticed that around my area, younger guys seem to all have their apes pushed forward and older guys have them in line with the front end. Even older riders seem to have them laid way back. I often joke with my wife that I can tell a riders age a long way away just by where their hands are. lol
Curious to know how old you guys are and how you run your bars.
I'm 34 and like them pushed forward. How many more years can I expect to ride like this until I start laying them back?

I carry an Allen wrench and change them up all the time, takes just a few moments. Every hundred miles or so. Kind of like the steering wheel in my car, change it up or down. Apes are perfect for that. I designed a QA for bars. Patent pending.

Interesting thought. I'll start keeping an eye out to see if I notice the same thing. I always thought it had to do with height of the rider. Which sorta plays into your thoughts since, as a species, each generation is getting taller. We even shrink with old age, but those might be the years after we are forced to give up riding?
There might a bar height variable at play here as well: Extreme apes are for young guys putting looks and style in front of comfort. Mild apes however, are generally for comfort and keeping a straight back. So it might matter what size the apes are as to your observances.
