Let's see the numbers, who's really riding?
After reading the post about the MoCo/Water-cooled/EPA and seeing a number of guys say "I'm riding my 02 until I croak" it got me to thinking, how long should I keep my bike? I live in MN and really can't ride from November until late March or early April. I bought my 05 Deluxe in July/2005 and I just rolled past 20,000 miles.
So let's see your numbers: What state do you live in / what bike do you ride / when did you buy your bike / what does the odometer say right now? I'll start: MN/05 Deluxe/Jul-05/20,000 |
RE: Let's see the numbers, who's really riding?
07 SG bought on 7/18/07 has 3720. 08 FLHTCU bought on 8/10/7 has 1725.
My 05 BMW R1200RT had 45,000 within 18 months. My 06 GSXR 1000 had 6000 within 8 months. My 06 Ducati MTS had 7500 within 1 year and my 2007 Kawi EX250 had 1800 within 5 months. All within the last 18 months and I live in Kalifornia. 05 BMW, 06 GSXR, 06 Ducati and 07 Kawi all sold....I now have the SG and Ultra. I had 26,000 on my 02 FLHTCI within the first 14 month of ownership and 35,000 on my 2000 FatBoy within 1 year. My 01, 02,and 03 Honda RC-51`s all had over 10K within 1 year each. My 2004 Honda CBR1000RR had 17,000 within a year and my 2000 929 had 11,000 before it was totaled within 9 month. I ride a lot. ;) |
