Here is what I did:
Take the eye bolts that go through trailer walls that are used for hoisting the trailers and reverse them so the eyes are on the inside of the trailer. This gives you four solid tiedown locations. But a wheel chock in front of the front wheel and behind the rear wheel. you dont need the side rails but if you want you can go from the frame to them with tie downs for additional support. Just remember to reverse the eyes back when you return it. I forgot once and no one ever contacted me so that choice is yours.

When I hauled my Airhead Beemer to Daytona in an open trailer, in '92, I used a blue poly tarp to cover the bike. I tied it as securely as I could but during that trip, the blue poly from the tarp managed to transfer itself to the aluminum cooling fins on the Beemer's heads, leaving only the fibers on the tarp. It was no big deal but kind of a PITA to clean up. Lesson learned.
