Is that not what they call Shark Skin?

If so it looks really nice in person.

 

I was turned off by HD's atlas silver for a long time because I'd only seen it under artificial light. Looked baby bluish to me (I'm colorblind, for what it's worth). But once I saw it outside in the sun I loved it.

 

There are a few HD colors when you see them online you go "Meh", but in person out under the sunlight look amazing!
- Diablo Red
- Sands White
- Fast Johnnies
- Etc

Then there are colors that I thought looked great in the pics that do not hold up in the sunlight. Like my Gun Ship Gray. Lol

 

That new color is in response to the grown men on this forum who complain about the lack of "candy" and "sparkly" colors from HD.

 

I, on the other hand, would send a 1-lb bag of dicks to whomever approved the release of that color

Just my opinion but the new colors, although not great, are better than the bowling ball colors of last year...

I’m thinking you will find the new colors are chosen for economical purposes. Maximizing profits with cheaper paint.

Well played sir. So, to clarify I would guess most of us are safe with metallic colors as long as they do not cross over to the "sparkle" realm. LOL
