Default Mr 99

If the smashed ankle didn't hurt still I would appreciate the irony, Mr "ride like you stole it" got trapped by the oldest one in the book.
A couple of weeks back I was riding home from work, wide open road, good citizen 60 mph, helmet and lights on when I spotted a car that was in position to turn left in front of me. It was stopped and as I approached I would swear I made eye contact. At the point of no return I spotted movement in the front wheel. I immediately laid it into a hard left turn and watched as the 19 yr old girl who "didn't see me" pulled right in front of me. I had avoided hitting the car with the bike, but my right leg clipped her rear quarter panel real solid. I had managed to slow from 60 to 30 before impact. Had I Tboned her things would be a lot worse.
In my screwed up mind I can't help but think, if I'm going to get this busted up, why couldn't I atleast have over cooked a ninety mph sweeper, not be taken out by some little creamy in a toyota?
1st real accident in 45 yrs of riding, WTF!!!![:@] I hope I'm coherent, got some good drugs!

Glad to hear your OK. Hope the ankle works out. Keep off the foot and make sure it heals good. Need you out there riding again. With 45 years of riding need you to help teach the new pups out there.

I hit a Ford explorer with 4 girls in it just like that about 5 years ago. The were talking and laughing and completely ran a stop sign. Me and the bike didn't suffer any damage, but the drivers door on the ford was messed up. I yelled at the girl (driver) so much she cried. And I dared her to tell her daddy it was my fault.

Hope you heal fast.
