RE: Replacement Horn??
Sammi, because of this thread, I went to Advance at lunch and picked up the horn you mentioned. I'll get it put on tomorrow. Thanks for the information.

RE: Replacement Horn??
Save your money, spend it on chrome!!!
Not sure my horn even works and do not care. The last time I needed my horn by the time Ihit the correct button the creep who pulled in front of mewas gone. Since that time I have learned from some old time riders thatthe time wasted looking for the hornbuttonis just enough to get killed. Your time will be better spent making defensive decisions and maneuvers rather then looking for the horn button.

RE: Replacement Horn??
The stock horn is 400 Hz, not sure what the db is.
NAPA carries a replacement horn 730-1056 rated at 420 Hz and 132 db made for them by FIAMM. It appears to be the "Freeway Blaster". About $13 - $15 at your local NAPA store.
Watch where the terminals for wire connections are though. Make certain they are directly above the horn outlet. If they are off to the side you won't be able to mount it in the stock cowbell. You can see the terminals through the plastic of the blister pack.
Does anyone know the db rating on Harley's Premium Air Horn? All I can find is the claim of "one of the loudest motorcycle horns". But no one at the dealer can give me a db rating.

RE: Replacement Horn??
Stock horn is made in Mexico.
FIAMM and its NAPA clone are Made in USA.
If anyone cares.
Also, while the FIAMM and NAPA clone appear to be a better quality drop in replacement that 132 db is measured at 4 inches.
