RE: extended warranty
My take is that if your bike has gone that far and that long there obviously is not a manufacturing defect. Appears all the parts are working as they should.
Personally I have never purchased an extended warranty and I would cancel it BUT it is a crap shot. It's like going to a gambling casino. Occasionally that is a big winner but in the long run the house (insurance company) is the winner.

Good Question, do you need the money? Are you able to diagnose and make any major repairs yourself?
I have the extended warranty and have thought the same about getting my money back, but then I ask myslef the 2 above questions and I keep it just because I am not capable to diagnose and make a major repair. Good Luck with your decision

RE: extended warranty
I did not get the extended warranty when I bough by 2006 RK last year. I have had no problems but I do plan on keeping it for some time and have been thinking about getting the warranty before my 2 year one runs out.
One of my concerns is will the dealer or factory refuse to honor it because I installed duals, slip-ons and a Power Commander.

RE: extended warranty
I have heard the same. I would sure hate to spend that kind of $ and then be denied.

RE: extended warranty
You will hear a lot of stories of denial by dealers. For the MoCo to deny a warranty repair the after market part IE PCIII has to be the "Direct cause of the failure of the part". If you are worried about the PCIII it will not take 15 min to put the bike back to stock

RE: extended warranty
My has extended warranty on has 06 lowrider. He change his only oil at 10,000 and had a problem with the recalled bearing at 11,000 miles and was given a very hard way to go to get it fix at baltimore harley davidson. They said he had change the oil and if they would of they could seen the problem with the bike. And did not fix the first time and to take back with a lawer.
