The short answer is ... not usually! Unless it's a members only, private run, in which case it wouldn't be advertised.

Just be careful who you ride next to if you do the 2 abreast thing. If I go on these with no other bros.,I take my own space. You have no idea if these others can ride, can handle a beer ,etc.If it gets rowdy (as they sometimes do)ride in the back that way you can see some really stupid riding go on in Front of you.Keep it safe.Toby

Fingerless gloves are taboo. Gloveless fingers are optional in cold weather. Don't put your helment next to the front wheel. ride safe and enjoy

Like others have said, most 'advertised' Poker Runs are what they call open, which means anyone can attend/ride, usually for a small entry fee.

Some other types of runs, like Toys For Tot's, only require that you bring a 'gift' that means their requirement.

You won't hear about MC or 'private' Poker Runs unless you are invited by someone.

No. Like said, bring a toy, your registration cash, and the willingness to have a good time doing something wonderful for those less fortunate. Also like said above, use your grey matter and common sense when riding.

I ride both stagered and two abreast with my buds all the time. Don't care to do it with those I don't know, but sometimes while parading, it can't be helped.

Don't over think it. Just have fun and be safe.

Happy Turkey Day!

The last big toy run I went onthere was acrash between two bikes, the one in back ran into the one in front and they both went down. Last I heard was the one who rearended the other one died. I second the be very cautious of who is around you. Just cause they are on a bike dont mean they know how to ride.If you see a bunch of patches gathering up with toys on the handlebars, and you did not know anything about it, I would not suggest that you go join in.

If alone try and pair yourslelf up with another Harley Rider(hopefully a sane one) . I went on one andwas paired with a metric and the idiot would wind it up everytime space opened up between groups.I don't know what he was trying to prove maybe to show me the plastic wouldn't fall off when riding like an idiot.
