Great post, thanks for sharing your experience. Can't wait to get back to riding when the ice, snow, and salt is gone from the streets.

Enjoyed your post and very well written. Felt like I was with you guys...except for the fast sweeping turns (lol). Sure glad you enjoyed the ride, while it's a high of 20+ degrees and low of 10. Come on Spring.

Good travel read but I've been to Cook's and I've been to Mesquite/St George... So I went towards the hills and ended up atthe Doo Dah Parade in Pasadena...
one of those "Bucket List" things to do I figured. Parked it...took a toke and grabed the camera...

Nice ride TDA. I have been up thatta waymany a time over the years. Quartzite on the other hand holds one of those "life moments" memories for me. 1973 and riding to Phoenix from L.A. with a partner. We stopped in Quartzite to gas up and get warm. It was winter and dark and pretty damn cold. So after gassing up we spotted a small bar/food dive and decided to rest for a bit. We parked the bikes outside, went inside and sat down. Place had quite a few characters sitting at tables and the bar (all staring at us). Now get this. The bartender walks over to the table and says "we don't cotton to your kind around here. You boys better be leaving". Discretion was the better part of valor right then so we moved on and didn't stop till we hit Buckeye. I will always remember those A$$holes.
