It works by wicking moisture (sweat) away from your skin and allowing it to be absorbed by the next layer of clothes. Keeps you warmer in the cold and more comfortable in the heat. As high tech as it sounds though, it's really just spandex for men.

I wear the Starter brand knock-off stuff from Walmart under my uniform to work. I like it. It is about 25% the price of Under Armor.

Yes the under armour costs more but I have a shirt from them about 6 years old that I wear at least once a week. It might be older or newer I bought it when the stuff first came out.

Over priced! Fifty $$$ for a top? Give me a break.

Get a Cabela's catalog and get the same thermal protection for half the price (or less).

I use it exclusively between my t-shirt and leather jacket. Itsnot as bulky as a hoodie and sure keeps me warm. Its a bit more expensive than some other stuff (even Cabela's thermies) but really worth the extra $$.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Been using it since it came out and it is awesome. Beats the hell out of the bulky options I used in the past.

When it comes to lighter weight fabric, silk is far superior for warmthto any synthetic crap even poly-pro.
