Any tips on pulling a wheelie on a touring bike?

I was only able to do it one time with the girlfriend on the back popped the clutch on a rolling start dragging a 5.0L mustang. lifted the front tire about 6 inches. Kicked the mustang butt but all the screaming and hitting me afterward completely took all the fun out of it!

My advice before you attempt a Wheelie is, extend your frontend 2" to protect your front fender when the bike comes back down to the ground.
