Default Ok, I'm learning...bear with me

I posted this already and I am sure it's a revisit...but are there any choices for making my 07 Heritage louder without buying a grand worth of other crap? Standardized ways of modding the mufflers? Drag pipes with 1 3/4 in ID closed enough that the factory FI can compensate?

Yes I admit it...I'm cheap. Not to mention broke after forking over 25k for this 7k worth of bike...( oh yeah, thank GOD I'm a mechanic, because this bike just keeps falling apart ) Hi Mr Davidson, have you noticed how many guys work at your dealerships under the guise of being mechanics when they couldn't fix BREAKFAST???

As long as you are not changing your air cleaner, you can put on about any exhaust that you want and the bike won't be hurt. It won't run as good as it could, but you won't melt it either. Drag pipes usually cause you to lose bottom end. You can put in the last few inches a 1/4" diameter bolt, lollipop baffle, or shorty baffle to help "tune" the pipe and minimize the loss.

No shizit? Thanks! All these harley "mechanics" proving how stupid they are and I end up listening to them about the exhaust. Go figure. Maybe I'm not a genius either

The "learning" I was referring to was how to use this forum, by the way. But I've also "learned" that I knew the answer to begin with, and was misguided by the same bozos who couldn't identify a freakin exhaust leak.

Somehow this makes no sense. You're cheap but paid 25g for a bike worth 7? HD mechanics are morons but you thank GOD you are a mechanic - who can't figure out something simple like making a Heritage louder? Looks like your sig defines you well.

Pair of slip-ons and a socket wrench should do you for between $300-$400.

take the mufflers off and punch a hole in the baffles.

Yes I admit it...I'm cheap.

Buy one of those hearing aids you see on TV for $19.95...................
