Got a 4200 miler planned for 13 days. Headed over to Northern CAcoastal highway and zig zag on and off it through Oregon and WA. The come back to MT through North and central WA once again ziggin' and Zaggin'. Should be fun and the days are short enough to add in whatever we might like within reason.

Bluerose... Just checkin out your route... On Hwy 20 just north of Macks Inn, hang a left on 87, take that around Henry's Lake and head up to Hwy 287. My family has a place about 1.5 miles from the 87/287 junction...Hang a right and ride along Quake lake ( a sight to see) and then Hebgen lake.... The stretch from Quake to Hebgen is stunning... when you get to 191 hang another right to head into West... It only adds roughly 60 miles and I guarantee it'll be worth it... I ride up there every year aroundthe fourth... When are you gonna be up there?
Also, when your in Oregon, continue on Highway 20 all the way to Bend, Or. Then head south on 97. It is a better road and better view.

Great destination did it in '05. If you don't mind a piece of advice, Keep your tank full there are a few long hauls between gas stations. Enjoy

Bluerose,
Also if you have the time, you really want to go west all the way to highway 101 and take that south as far as San Fransisco.
