This isn't a lot of new info, but...

The wife and I stopped at a dealer last week and got pricing from the owner on a new Ultra. I wasn't happy with the trade-in price he offered but wanted to talk more so my friends and I rode up again this week. We found very few touring bikes left and four of their six Ultras were gone including the one I looked at. We got to talking with their other salesman and told him that I really wanted to wait for the new 09's so I could see what changed. He proceeded to say that I should definitely wait. He said their dealer rep advised them to get rid of every touring bike they could because people won't want them once the new bikes showed up. He didn't share many details but said there's an engine change coming along with a new fairing. He also said there's something happening with the Fatboys but he didn't know what.

I sure hope they don't look like the Victory !

 

A salesman telling you to wait for the 09s?&nbsp\\; Hmmm, maybe there IS something cool lurking over the horizon.

 

Ya it will be fun to boo-hoo the 09's when they come out.
Just like the mechanical brake crowd boo-hooed the 08's.

Of course then we'll hear the cerimonial problems with the 09's
and the Harley haters telling us how bad the Company is.

No way are they going to shelve the 96" engine after just 2 years.

&nbsp\\; Bet they do.&nbsp\\; The Dealer Reps have already had the chance to ride all of the 09's and I am hearing the same.&nbsp\\; Have to wait for the Vegas show.&nbsp\\; We will have 09's on the floor by July 12th.
