A few weeks after starting my last job, I was walking toward the parking lot with my leather slung over my shoulder.&nbsp\\; I'd worked a couple of hours overtime and was tired.&nbsp\\; A guy walked up next to me and asked "so you're the biker?"&nbsp\\; I replied "I guess".&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Next to my Glide was a Jap imitation Harley.&nbsp\\; The guy asked "who's piece of **** is that next to your bike?"&nbsp\\; I said "I dunno."&nbsp\\; "What is it he" continued.&nbsp\\; I answered that "I don't know a thing about Jap bikes."&nbsp\\; He then stated that it was his, it was a Suzuki something or other and that I was foolish to spend so much for a Harley.&nbsp\\; He said his bike looked a lot like a Harley and a lot of people thought it was, and that was good enough for him.&nbsp\\; As I kept walking I told him "Well you can go downtown and find something that looks a lot like a woman, and that's good enough for some guys, me, I gotta have the real thing."

 

Good one!!&nbsp\\; The guy was obviously trying to justify things
to himself. You can be sure he'll never repeat this story
at least not with the same comeack!

I've told guys "ride what you want and be happy, I have what I want. If you feel a jap bike or whatever is better, then good for you!"&nbsp\\; Usually this is the end of the conversation.

I've ridden a lot of different bikes in my 53 years in the saddle and NOTHING has the class of a Harley. Nice come back.

 

I have heard stuff like this guy a million times..that the metric look like Harleys...No they dont.&nbsp\\; If you lined up a 100 Harleys and put 1 metic in there I could pick&nbsp\\;the metic out&nbsp\\;easy.&nbsp\\; The metics sound like popcorn popers also is a tell tale sign.
