Uh, to upgrade your numbers.&nbsp\\; In 1991 me and my closest 350,000 Harley friends and in 1999 me and my closest 750,000 Harley friends enjoyed Sturgis.&nbsp\\; As others have said it's the ride and surrounding areas that are the real attraction for me.&nbsp\\; Anytime you can see 20 to 30,000 Harley's at Mt. Rushmore is an awesome sight.&nbsp\\; Just go and enjoy.

 

Everywhere you go you'll be riding in a group of 10-500,000.

 

Demkay, there is way more to Sturgis than just the bars and booze.
But if you go with a crappy attitude you will have a matching experience. Over the 5 years I have gone I have met and made friends with folks from all over that I stay in touch with.

 

smaller rallies are more fun, dont get me wrong sturgis is fun but way to corprate.

Sturgis may be the destination but there's far more to Sturgis than booze and babes though there's plenty of both.&nbsp\\;Within an easy days ride there's Rushmore, Devils Tower, Deadwood, Custer even Yellowstone if you're up to it.&nbsp\\; Along with all that, there is some of the most beautiful scenery one could ever ride through. Sure, if you enjoy partying, there’s more than enough to go around but if riding is what you enjoy, head to Sturgis.
