This is a rant of sorts!!
The town I live in decided to tar and stone the rode I live on. I haven't been able to ride my bike for almost a week because there is so much loose stone on the road. By now most of the stone is swept to the side of the road and there are now bare lanes where the cars drive, so tonight I said screw it and took it out for a ride. It was quite the experience crossing over from lane to lane and trying to turn. It's like driving on marbles!!! I only rode for about 10 miles, but it seemed like every road I was on had this done to it in one place or another. It was not a fun ride. About ready to call the town up and tell them to sweep the stones up. Ya right, like they will actually do that!! So if that kind of work is done on your roads, beware!!

They do that to the roads here in AZ all of the time. And they always seem to do it when it is 105 out so tar gets all over everything you drive.

Down here they spray the roads with a thin layer of tar which is extremely slick.
I went down about 5 years ago when I tuned onto a freshly painted street.
I hate it when they do that!

"Tar and stone??", you had me there for a second, actually it's called CHIP SEALING. I hope they used crushed/washed rock on it. And, they should come back through, and sweep it, or, it will be dangerous to bike riding for a long time. Advice, don't ride on it, good chance you'll go down.
