Never get in a hurry when your working 12 feet up on a ladder.

I was hoping to finish painting the house before taking a ride to Milwaukee this weekend.

Needles to say, the bottom of the ladder kicked out and I fell.

I broke both legs.

I got my computer today, but the day just drags. I am expected to be here a month.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Sorry to hear about your fall. My utility job requires me to work 30' up on an extension ladder, I have fallen from about 20' and only sprained the wrist. Get well fast, looks like you'll be a posting fool for the next month.

- trying playing saduko, there are a number of web sites.
- read. amazying how many people don't read much.
- build a model. get a slightly more complex one. something that will take a month or so.
- search the internet for some new music. amazing artists out there and we really get stuck in a rut sometimes. check out 'paul thorn' 'james d graham' 'popa chubby'. if they aren't your bag, check out one of the internet radio stations and find something new.
- do you play chess, learn how.
- start writing. try fiction. autobigraphy, short story
- search your family tree (be careful, you might be closer to the apes than you think)
- what do you like to drink, beer? wine? do some research on one of those. some really fantastic micro breweries nearer to your casa than you think.
- do you like to cook or grill. find some new recipes.
- you are going to be anxious to ride. find some routes that you haven't done yet.

 

You could get one of those language CDs, and learn Spanish. Once you get out, you can plan a motorcycle ride to Mexico.
