Outside storage questions...
Sorry if this has been asked before, but how bad is it to keep your bike outside under a good cover?
I live in the northeastern US, so no dry heat here. I've had the bike ouside for most of the summer and I do remove the cover on sunny days to cook off any condensation. Any opinions on this?

Do you get winter there? 'Cause I wouldn't recommend it in winter.
Are you near salt water? If so, you want to protect the paint, aluminum, chrome, etc. Other than that, I don't really see a problem...

That's a very good question, I've got my DELUXE in the garage with a H-D "breathable" cover on....... little did I know there are tons of these covers on EBAY and elsewhere for $39.00, I think I paid $129.00, I guess the H-D EMBLEM cost me $90.00 of that price....
We're VERY humid in Miami, of course, so we have some experience with that.....but I think you'll be fine!

I moved last winter and had to keep the bike outside under a cover for four months until I could afford to get a shed to keep it in. Since then I have had to replace or remove several parts that rusted, saddlebag rails, throttle cables and various screws. If I get stuck in that situation again I will rent a storage locker to keep the bike in.

Mine is outside under a cover because there's no choice really. Haven't noticed any issues so far, apart from little scratches I think from having to wipe off the bits of cotton the cover drops. But then the vivid black seems to get little scratches if you look at it too hard.
