Default My Ride Sucks

I live off of a rural road that the brainiacs have decided to rip up and widen just as schools starting. Getting out of my street to ride to work in the morning is at best a nightmare. Then a few blocks up the road they are digging up the middle of the road replacing whatever. More one lane nonsense. To add insult to injury, we have a new bridge being built and just when you thought you were actually enjoying your ride, you guessed it, more one lane construction. This is three lanes converging into one. That's the first new bridge. A few clicks up the road they are rebuilding an older bridge, same drill. You'd think that was enough but no way... more construction not far from the bridge with lane widening. More morning cellphone coffee cagers converging into one lane. I CAN'T GET OUT OF THIRD GEAR! At one point I thought my right leg was on fire as I heated up in traffic. Leo's watching the shoulder for the impatient ones, I was tempted to just get on the shoulder and throw myself to the mercy of the law! I just wanted to ride to work not practically push my bike there!

Thanks for listening to my rant. I'm going out tomorrow into the country, hopefully they're not digging that up too.

You'll appreciate it when the improvements are done. Patience, grasshopper.

I feel for ya with the third gear dilemma. I swear I'm gonna get a fine, I just want to open her up so I go 1st-3rd near wide open 'round town. Guess I just need to find an un-occupied country road and just let'r eat!

They have been working on the roads around for years, and I can't tell they are getting ANYWHERE!

I here ya my brothers... seems just when they think they've finished, they dig it up again. I really like when they pave a stretch of road and you think oh... sweet... but a few months later they rip up strips and slap metal plates over it for a few months.
