LoneStar Rally in Galveston TX <shrug>
#5
The rally is six weeks away, but I doubt that the city can pull it together. Galveston is a dying city. I was there last month for a company shin-dig and the place was a ghost town. Downtown and the Strand is well into urban decay, lots of places were out of business. Too bad, Galveston used to be a real nice town.

When I posted this originally, I hadn't seen the scope of the damage.
I'm glad I didn't get my *** flamed off, as I started feeling this thread may have been inappropriate after watching the tube and seeing all the damage, even up into Houston.
The Balinese gone, 61st st. pier gone, and no telling what else the next few days will reveal.
My thoughts go out to those affected by IKE.
