I've had kids and I've had bikes. My advice... ditch the kid, keep the bike.

I knew I liked you for a reason when we met. Man...that's cold blooded but very funny. I would have expected nothing less. Being a man with no kids, I completely agree with your logic.

It was only a baby bike any way. You should try to keep it. You are going to take a lost any way.

Sell or trade your bike, then talk to the dealer you bought the plan through. They will take care of all the paper work.

If you want to keep your bike, but just don't want the plan anymore I am not sure if they will do that. At any rate, the selling dealer is where you need to start.

That makes three of us. I'm a single dad with a 12 year old girl that has lived with me sense she was two months old. I'm a disabled vet and firefighter whose only income is my disability and even though money gets tight every now and then, I have not had to sell anything.

I really do understand what he is saying, the kid has to come first but selling things because you have a baby on the way is IMFUO not the way to go. It's just alot easier to keep what you've got and cut out a few things you do that cost money than trying to replacing the things you sold. (Just remember, One day, you will want to replace it.)

you can cash it in at any time. It will be prorated from the date of purchase. You need to go to the selling dealer to do it. The check will take from 2 weeks to 2 months, depends on the Dealer. You need to keep bugging them. You don't need to sell the bike to cancel the warranty. You can cancel for any reason.

I believe the extended warrenty stays with the bike and you can't trade it in to reduce the loan.
Congrats on being a Dad!!!!
