Las Vegas to Kingman, AZ through Hoover Dam to pay respects to Brian Griggs, who was killed by a cager recently. Rt. 66 Memorial Ride, hooked up with a couple from hdforums. Rode up to the Lodge on the Hualapai Mtn's above Kingman. Had some drinks, and headed back toward home.

15 car pile-up on the dam earlier had backed up traffic about 3 hours, so rather than sit on the road, we had dinner at Rosie's Den in White Hills, AZ. Then back through the dam about 9:30p.

Monday, rode up to Blue Diamond and Red Rock Canyon. Did the scenic loop through Red Rock, and back home to take the kids out for some ice cream. Great weekend!

Holy crap, that is a lot of Vettes. Must be quite a sight seeing that many guys wearing Carrera sunglasses, Members Only jackets and driving gloves. :-)
I went to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan over the weekend, nice roads, cool weather and 996mi. of riding.

It rained pretty much all weekend here. We participated in a Memorial Day ride on Saturday to benefit the VA Hospital here and got soaked, but the cause was worth it. The skies finally broke yesterday afternoon for a few hours so my wife and I got out and rode up around the lake and around - about 150 miles - and got home before it started raining again.

Saturday morning 355 miles to alley spring camp at emminence missouri. After two rainy days of camping, 355 miles home...it was still fun! Even under the underpass!

Headed out from the house in Joshua Tree, down Morongo Canyon on hwy 62 to the 10 west to the 60. Got off the slab at Gilman springs rd. Rode to the end at Ramona Expwy.

Cruised west into Perris, headed north on Perris Blvd into Loma Linda, through Redlands to Mentone.

Hwy 38 from mentone to Big Bear City. Stopped at Thelma's restaraunt for bite to eat, then headed out on Hwy 18 to Lucerne Valley.

Then east on Hwy 247 through Johnson Valley and Landers, into Yucca Valley and home.

A nice little trip around 225 miles, desert, mountains etc... just sort of lazed along and stopped a lot. We had a great time.

No where. It freaking rained all weekend. Needless to say, I wasn't a very happy camper.
