You know how you can tell the Gold Wing riders at a restaurant from the Harley riders when both stop in after 500 miles........the Gold Wing riders are the one's not saying "huh" or "What" to everything that is said to them...I have never seen a place so packed with "Bikers" who worry about what everyone elses bike should sound like, what they wear, or when they take their helmet off....While I'd never trade my Ultra for a Gold Wing, I'd love to have both, for different reasons. Why worry about someone elses bike?

Why is a comment about how quiet a GW is considered by too many as an attack. Too much defensiveness over comments on exhaust. I will state my position to relieve all the doubt of where I stand on the exhaust issue. I don't like GW's, or how they sound stock. I don't like HD's with short straight pipes and no baffles. I hate dust blowing street sweeper pipes. Last, I don't care how your motorcycle sounds even if I don't like it. It will not keep me up at night or make my food hard to digest. I do care how my two sound but you don't need to worry about that because I will never ask anybody their opinion about my exhaust.

How does the old saying go, something like "All bark and no bite". That describes most of the loud motorcycles that I encounter. I guess some folks equate noise with power?
