As the last time I attended Sturgis was 1962 or 3, (memory is hazy) and I am sure things have changed since then, I am wondering if there is any reason to expect any "good deals" or are the goods for sale the usual, offshore leathers, sunglasses, T shirts etc.? Are there vendors of used and/or new Harley parts and accessories.


Perhaps this should have been posted in the Trips sections.

 

Last time I went to Sturgis was in 07. About the only deals I found was on t shirts. All of the big name vendors were charging full msrp on just about everything. Hell, I can find much better deals online.

 

Have found some good deals at J&P.

DUDE! You are going to freak out over the changes. My first time was in 1980, went back in "89, then '90 for the 50th anniversary. I freaked out in '89, what a change! It had gone completely commercial, nothing like the days where they had the bathtub set up at the end of Main St. for those who wanted to strip down and bathe and the only camping was in City Park or private yards. Too commercial for me, I attend smaller rallies once in a while. As deals go, good luck, plenty of vendors but all looking to capitalize on the week. Best to go and people/bike watch, probably want to save your money shopping for better deals.
