My ONE and ONLY "new" Harley, was a '76 XLCH. Sold a '52 HD Servicar to buy it.
IF I owned or own it, it's used. Some were even 'abused' when I got 'em. (Including the first one below)
'65 Panhead bought as a rolling basket case. 2 years to get it close to 'present' status.
'96 883 Sporty. 2217 miles when I bought it at Christmas time, '08. (Momma's present)
'78 FLH "Black Betty" Bought from a friend of Donnie Smith (bike builder) Took a whole winter to get it to present status.
Eyeing 'used' EVO baggerz. Would LOVE to put together another BIG INCH (120 121, 124, or EVEN a 141) Road Warrior. BUT given the state of economy, my Road Warrior, may very well end up, being the '78 FLH, with a 93". It ain't ugly, jus' oldt, unlike me, who is BOTH !!!

Picked up my '04 FXDWG on New Year's Day. Had 88xx miles on it. It's now got 13,2xx. Never bought a new bike in all the years I've been riding. Closest was the '79 Bonneville Special I bought in '80 w/ 2k miles on it.

When I bought my 2005 SE Fat Boy it was 14 months old and had 998 miles on the odometer. The 2007 models had just come out and I was going to buy one of them, until I figured the used SE Fat Boy was a lot better deal, for what I was looking for.

'04 FXSTSI WITH 16,000 mi. I have also never owned a new bike. Been riding Harleys since '73. I just can't see paying all the fees and taxes on a new bike. I come from a long line of used bike owners. The '71 shovel in my sig pic was bought in '73 by my dad and I bought it in '85.

Only new bike I ever bought new was a 76 yamaha tt500 dirt bike. 15 or so used road bikes starting with a 66 honda 305 superhawk I got in "69". I bought and sold bikes I fixed up and sold for a profit to work my way up to bigger and better. Riding 97 EGC with 44,xxx I picked up as a salvage. all cosmetic damage. Replaced the crunched parts and had it inspected. Title now says Rebuilt. I plan on keeping this one. At the price I paid for it I will probably buy another to "rebulid" this winter. Sorry but I havent figured out the picture thing yet.

Bought this 05' Train right here on HDF last year with 11,000 miles on it. Creampuff without a scuff on it. Honestly never even considered a new Harley. I buy a new off road bike every coupla years...And new cars but not Harleys. Last bike was an old Heritage Evo bike bought it used as well.
These things get better with age....Like fine wine.
Ummm, Night Train in my case LOL!
Then...Glamour shots in an alleyway I guess?:
Now...A work in progress. IMO these bikes are rolling art. You just gotta turn then into your expression of said artwork. And ride em!:
Next up is a plan I also have for an older Evo powered touring bike. Like a Road King or old E-Glide. tank shifter, solo seat. lots of black, spokes, yeah. Been seeing to many older Evo powered touring bikes being literally given away in this weird economic atmospshere. I figger with as cheap as these bikes are selling its a dern good time here to add another scoot to the garage.

Second Hand Hog
I picked up this from the original owner. 2007 FLHTCU chromed out, race tuned with true duals, V&H Ovals, Mustang seat, Hog Tunes and a Bushtec trailer. $18,800. Less than 6000 miles.
