Default Gas & Showers @ Sturgis

What is it like getting gas and a warm shower at Sturgis during the week long event. I'm sure theres plenty camping areas but do they have portable showers too. I can't imagine going all week with out a shower there. Also are the lines very long getting gas for your bike.

Gas is no issue at all, tons of stations.

I stayed in a hotel, so I can't help you on the shower question.

Gas isn't a problem at all. You need to realize that going to Sturgis is way more than just going into the actual town of Sturgis.

Every little town with a 50 mile radius is part of the event and has something going on. Most people that go, don't or can't even stay inside Sturgis city limits because it's so small. People stay anywhere they can find a place and again, can be within that 50 mile radius.

I don't have first hand experience with the showers but I have heard that many of the camp grounds will let you take a shower for a fee, sometimes two or three bucks.

I never seen any portable showers set up. A truck stop would also be an idea, they have pay showers for the truckers, I would assume as long as you pay, they would let you use one.

You got a whole year to think about it.

It all depends on what you eat and how it affects you weather or not you get gass, but if you do you will need a shower

When we went we camped at Lamphere Ranch. They had a concrete shower building and hot water.
