Indian Larry tattoo thoughts

RE: Indian Larry tattoo thoughts
I am all for tats, got a few myself, but why in the world would want to get something that was made famous by another man? Honor the guy by doing something original. Are you the same kind of man he was? Or are you caught up in the hype that is the great biker build off? Like I said, I have tats. My original designs are much more cherished to me, and I don't regret getting them. Will you regret getting that script on your neck?

At Larry's memorial party a couple of tattoo artists were doing Indian Larry's trademark question mark on people. IMO this would be a good way to tribute him rather than copying his neck tattoo. Kendall Johnson got the question mark so that the corly part went round and round his elbow. Im considering getting one if I can just figure out where to put it.

Must agree with the majority here, tats are SOOOOOOOOO personal and permanent that you owe it to yourself to get something done that means most to you. All tattoos are art, but not all tattooists are artists. Come up with something truly unique and personal to you then find a real artist to interpret it. You will have something original to you and you know nobody else will have one. I did!

On a side note, don't try to get any "real jobs" with a neck tattoo. Only rockstars, movie stars, and custom bike builders can get away with them.

I agree, and BTW, that's some nice color work there, roadkingboy. I have a large custom piece on my left upper arm/shoulder in honor of my daughter. Totally custom, and you will never see it on someone else. Only way to go.

Have to agree. Neck, face and hand tattoos just make life harder. Also think the "?" would be a cool tribute and those that know, will know. You know?
