It does seem a little early, but I bought my first harly back in August and am planning a run up there next year with the wife for the first time, so needless to say, yes I am very excited and am also counting down the days.

Never been before and not sure I can pull it off, but I'm hoping to make it.

400 miles a day for three days is nothing. It's a walk in the park with this much time to prepare!

I know I'm looking forward/starting to plan already. Nothing wrong with a little anticipation!

Wife has no interest in going. Guess that means that I'll have to find a way to buddy up with a few friends and leave her at home

Yes, it can. I ride my '08 XL1200C for that much and more on summer road trips.

Question is......if you really want to ride there.

Sturgis is something to see once, I guess.
