like a dog! i would not go on any road that may require a sudden need for speed. She will have fun and may not notice a thing but you will. just reminder her not to fight you and to look over your right shoulder if you are turning right and left if you are turning left. This will keep her from trying to upright your bike in a lean.
good luck.

Good advice. Also ask her to be still as you're coming to a stop and as you take off from a stop. It'll help you keep balance. Also keep the speeds down and let her enjoy the cruise. Don't show off and she'll want to go again.

Make sure your tires are pumped up if. Not a good time to have them run a little low.
Have her never put her feet down off the pegs until you instruct her to do so.
Never let her "help" in the leaning of the bike.
Leave lots of room for braking. The impact of the extra weight..... not to mention the helmet banging is significant.
Don't try to go too slow. Motion forward is your friend in the balance deprartment.
Have fun and take it easy.
But to each his own.

Like Kumite says; Never put her feet down off the pegs until you instruct her to do so.
That's a big one. When you stop at a stop sign, she is to keep feet on the pegs at all times. Also, make sure she keeps her boots off the pipe, or you'll spend the next day cleaning them.

You will do fine...Don't let anyone tell you the 883 won't have any power 2 up...I had a 2002 883R...And my wife and I enjoyed many miles on it together...The bike is a little crowded for 2 people...But both of you can still enjoy it...When I traded that bike in it had just over 52,000 miles on it...I just love it when people call a Sportster a girl's bike...Most of the people that call them that...Has never ridden one.
