RE: Motorcycle magazine Poll
I picked up Ride Texas (I live in Austin) and American Motorcyclist and enjoyed both. Personally, I don't care for chopper oriented or metric oriented rags. I ride a bagger, as you can see, and I would really like to find a magazine that is aimed more at the "mainstream" of touring, daily rider Harleys.

AIM is the only one I actually pay for.

P.S. RetroHarley, I have a birthday coming at the end of this month. Can I have the girl on your avatar? Please?

Sub to Iron Works and American Rider. Gonna cancel the latter as it changed its format to mostly garbage barge stuff. Always check the rack for The Horse and grab it if there's something in it that interests me. Sub price is too high for having to listen to the constant macho whining of the editor.

I just subscribed to American Iron and as some of you have already mentioned, it is pretty much chopper/performance oriented. Two things I am really not into. I intend to get American Rider as it caters more to what kind of riding I do. American Motorcyclist and Cycle World are two others I get.

RE: Motorcycle magazine Poll
Back in my long haired, bearded, beer drinking, hell raising, patch wearin, ltrrtl days in the 70's and 80's I had around 15 years of Easy Riders in this trunk, saved every one of them. Lived for them every month! They all got stolen with all my other stuff quite a while ago from a storage locker (another story) But I havent picked one up for about 6 years or so. I am going to pick one up next time I see one. I hear Dave Mann died, bummer. No more centerfolds, i guess.[&o]

I used to read Big Twin Magazine that was edited by some of the people who put out Cycle World.
I really enjoyed a lot reading that mag...specially Beau Allen Pacheco collumn and Paul Dean's.
It's a pity that this excellent magazine went out-of-print in 2002...Since then I'm an magazine orphan, I couldn't choose another one to read...
AIM is too chopper for my tastes, CW is too Sportbike oriented and I dislike what David Edwards write.
Recently I came across through the Internet a British magazine which is more or less like Big Twin was...it's called American V.
If possible...I'd like some suggestions on magazines to read...as you guys have plenty of access on good magazines.
Thanks
Dan
