just bought a new 2010 hd . used hd for my loan. a friend of mine used to work at the dealership told me they add 1 to 3 points on your interest rate. i had my rate from that dealer so i checked with another. sure as sh....t 2 points lower. ask the sales person about it. told me some dealerships do that but they do not so i bought the bike from them. this is bs so be careful and do your homework

As long as you agreed to it and signed the paperwork than it is legal....they do the same with cars. Get you approved for, say, 6% then turn around and tell you that you got a deal at 8-9%. They just pocket that....always do your homework.

I got my loan through the credit union. They never switch rates on me. My rate is 4.75%. That is the lowest rate I have ever had on anything. I don't deal with banks. Credit Unions are the way to go. Smile you own it, that it their motto.
